Target recalls water-absorbing toys due to ingestion hazard

No injuries reported

About 560,000 water-absorbing Easter and dinosaur toys have been recalled because the toys could be swallowed and cause potentially life-threatening medical problems, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.

No injuries have been reported, but officials said ingesting the toy could cause intestinal obstructions, resulting in severe discomfort, vomiting and dehydration and could be life-threatening. Surgery would be required to remove the object.
