Keep them inside: With kids walking around and a lot of traffic on Halloween night, the safest spot for your pets is inside the house. If your pet does wander outside, make sure it is wearing proper ID so it can be returned to you.

Keep them aware from trick-or-treaters: Your pet might get scared with the door bell ringing and strangers coming up to the door. For safety of your pet and the trick-or-treaters, it’s best to keep your pet in a room away from the Halloween action.

Make sure your pet’s costume is safe, comfortable: If you choose to dress your pet up for Halloween, make sure your pet can’t chew off any part of the costume. Also make sure the costume fits and your pet can move around comfortably in it.

Keep your pet away from candy, lit pumpkins: Chocolate is poisonous to dogs, so make sure you keep the candy out of reach of your pets. Also make sure to keep your pets away from lit pumpkins.
