Law enforcement to increase security on sex offenders for Halloween

Home check-ins to be conducted

ORLANDO, Fla. – State and local law enforcement will work together to keep children safe from sex offenders on Halloween.

During trick-or-treating hours, probation officers will keep watch on offenders in local communities, with surprise check-ins and an increase in surveillance.

Along with the extra security, sex offenders are instructed to not participate in any Halloween-related activities, like giving out candy or dressing up in costumes or masks.
