ORLANDO, Fla. – It looks a lot more like Christmas in downtown Orlando as of Friday night.
The News 6 morning team helped Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer light up Lake Eola Park at the city's annual tree-lighting ceremony on Friday.
Friday's festivities began with live music -- and a Santa appearance -- until the 72-foot tree was lit.
Thousands came out to the Walt Disney Amphitheater Lake Eola Park band shell to hear holiday classics from the Trinity Lutheran School Choir and the Orlando Concert Band.
At 8 p.m. the Orlando Concert Band played "Let There Be Peace on Earth" by Harry Connick Jr. before the tree lit up with 160,000 LED lights.
News 6 Traffic safety expert Steve Montiero led the countdown to the tree lighting.
Re-watch the tree lighting below and in the video player at the top of this story.
