HARMONY, Fla. – The principal of an Osceola County high school has died, officials said.
The school district said Buddy Butler, principal of Harmony High School, passed away over the weekend.
The school superintendent posted online that Butler "served with excellence."
"Rest in peace. Forever in our hearts. We mourn the loss of our principal, our leader, our friend," a message on the school website said.
Friends and students have also posted similar comments on social media.
No funeral plans have been announced.
Students in Osceola County return to class later this week.
