Teachers wanted as school starts in Central Florida

Open positions will be temporarily filled by substitutes

ORLANDO, Fla. – As students head back to class in Central Florida, several districts are still looking for teachers. 

Officials in Marion County told News 6 that as of Wednesday they have 105 openings for teachers.

In Osceola County, the district is short 66 teachers.

District officials in Seminole County said they still need 24 teachers and that for now, the spots will be filled by substitutes.

Brevard said it currently has 23 open instructional job postings.

In Flagler County, officials said there are five teacher vacancies.
