Legislation would open 2 outpatient clinics in Central Florida

A growing number of Americans are skipping needed medical care because they can't afford it, according to a recent study released by Commonwealth Fund's Biennial Health Insurance.

WASHINGTON – Local veterans could soon get a big boost when it comes to medical assistance.

Florida senators Marco Rubio and Bill Nelson joined 15 other senators to introduce legislation that would authorize new VA medical leases across the United States.

 

That would include new outpatient clinics in Ocala and Daytona Beach.

 

The bill aims to improve veterans access to health care by allowing them to receive care closer to home.
