Jimmy Buffett coming to Orlando

I Don't Know Tour 2017 stops at Amway on May 13

Jimmy Buffett told Men's Journal in 2001 that he learned how to be a "pretty good field medic" from his time in Boy Scouts, adding that he could stitch people up, which comes in handy in remote surf breaks.

ORLANDO, Fla. – The ultimate island-lifestyle icon Jimmy Buffett is coming to the Orlando Amway Center this summer.

Jimmy Buffett and the Coral Reefer Band will bring the I Don't Know Tour 2017 to Orlando on May 13, according to his website.

Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 24 for the 8 p.m. concert at ticketmaster.com. American express cardholders can buy tickets starting Wednesday.

Buffett, 71, formed the Coral Reefer Band while in Key West in 1974. They’ve been touring ever since.

The tour will also make a stop in West Palm Beach on May 16.

Buffett owns several Florida restaurants and resorts that incorporate his beach lifestyle.

The “Come Monday” singer most recently reached out to Sunshine State residents to weigh in on the 2016 election cycle. Buffett called on Floridians to vote no on the power company-backed solar amendment and yes (of course) on the medical marijuana amendment.

This year is shaping up to be great for live music in Central Florida. Click through the gallery below to see the list of performers coming to Orlando.
