Poinciana High School class of 2017 inspiring elementary students

OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – Graduation festivities are happening all across Central Florida, and some Osceola County Grads are getting results in our schools with a special stop at one elementary school.

The Poinciana High School class of 2017 took a practice run before their graduation in front of a much younger audience. This is the second year Reedy Creek Elementary School students have cheered on the seniors. The experience serves as inspiration for the up and coming classes as well as a full circle moment for the graduates.

"I actually came to this elementary school, so it was cool because I was once in their place. I remember when high schoolers used to come here and I used to look up to them. I was like, 'alright one day that's gonna be me," graduating senior Dheya Vazquez said.

"In a couple of years, I'm gonna be like them walking through these halls," Ashton Singh, a fifth-grader, said.

Poinciana's principal said the event is a building block to creating additional partnerships and programs between the elementary and high school levels to benefit the students.
