Sick 9-year-old girl gets specially fitted wig

Jania Hernandez diagnosed with precancerous cells, high white blood cell count

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 9-year-old girl in the midst of a health crisis has long locks again.

Jania Hernandez received a wig from Debbie Turner Cancer Care and Resource Center in Apopka.

The donated wig is handmade and specially fitted for Jania so it will last longer.

The girl was diagnosed last April with precancerous cells and a high white blood cell count.

Jania said she was bullied at school because of her appearance.

She said she's thankful for the wig and can't wait to go back to school.
