First travel-related Zika case confirmed in Flagler County

7 non-travel related Zika cases reported in Miami-Dade, Palm Beach counties

Seven new non-travel-related Zika cases were confirmed in Florida, along with Flagler County's first travel-related Zika case.

The seven travel-related cases included three in Miami Beach, two in Miami-Dade and one in Palm Beach County, the Florida Department of Health said on Thursday.

For travel-related Zika cases, two were reported in Flagler County, eight were in Miami-Dade and one was in Lee.

Health officials said the declaration of public health emergency now includes Flagler County.

Travel-Related Infections of Zika: 650
Non-Travel Related Infections of Zika: 77
Infections Involving Pregnant Women: 86
Out of State Cases (not Florida Residents): 10
Total: 823

DOH believes ongoing transmission is only taking place within the small identified areas in Wynwood and Miami Beach in Miami-Dade County
