Orange County to vote on medical marijuana dispensaries

Commissioners to rule on two different ordinances

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County could become the latest in Central Florida to ban additional medical marijuana dispensaries from opening in the area.

Commissioners are set to debate two different ordinances Tuesday.

One of the ordinances would follow the lead of several other local cities and ban dispensaries altogether.

The other ordinance would allow them but with some restrictions.

Close to 100 people have said they will turn out to fight against a ban after Florida voters overwhelmingly approved expanded use of the drug last year.

The meeting is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m.
