Altamonte Springs to vote on medical marijuana dispensaries

City Council to take final vote on new rules

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – Altamonte Springs city commissioners are expected to vote Tuesday on amendments to its current ordinance permitting medical marijuana dispensaries. 

It's all in an attempt to be consistent with revisions from the legislative session.

City commissioners voted in 2015 to allow medical marijuana. 

Currently, the city of Altamonte Springs has a 180-day moratorium on dispensing facilities which expires on Dec. 17. 

The vote is scheduled for 7 p.m.
