ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando Health is taking a big step into the future.
The company's ambulatory care center has become the first outpatient center in Central Florida to introduce robotic outpatient surgery.
Doctors say the technology has been used on a trial basis since October. Because of its popularity with surgeons and patients, it is now a permanent option.
Since installing the robotic da Vinci system, surgeons have used it to perform more than a dozen procedures, including gall bladder removals and hernia repairs.
