NEW YORK – The Westin New York hotel in Times Square is bring back the $1,000 bagel, WNBC TV reports.
The bagel will feature Alba white truffle cream cheese, goji berry-infused Riesling jelly and golden leaf flakes, WPIX TV said in a report.

The $1,000 bagel must be ordered 24 hours in advance and will be offered from Nov. 1 until Dec. 15, WNBC reported. It can be ordered through room service or at the hotel's Foundry Bar. Tax and tip are included in the price.
According to WPIX, the hotel first offered the bagel in 2007.
A spokeswoman for the hotel said the Alba white truffles are the main contributor to the bagel's price.
White truffle is the second most expensive food in the world, the spokeswoman said. It's grown in the Alba region of Italy beneath certain oak tree. Trained dogs or pigs are used to locate it, WNBC reported the spokeswoman saying.
All proceeds from the $1,000 bagels will go the Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen, WPIX said.
