Gas prices hit 5-week lows in Florida

Reduced demand, increased fuel supply credited with decrease

ORLANDO, Fla. – Gas prices continue to drop across the state of Florida ahead of the holiday travel season. 

According to new numbers released by AAA, gas prices have hit 5-week low after dropping nonstop for the past month.

Currently, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Florida is $2.41, a decline of 3 cents during the past week and 12 cents less than a month ago. 

According to AAA, the national average for regular gas is $2.46 per gallon. 

Experts are crediting lower gasoline demand and increased fuel supply for the decrease.
