ST. CLOUD, Fla. – One person was taken to a hospital after a stabbing Saturday night in St. Cloud, police said.
The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. in front of the benches near the marina next to Crabby Bills.

St. Cloud police said a person with some sort of apparent mental illness approached the victim, who he did not know.
A verbal altercation turned into a physical fight. Police said the suspect stabbed the victim in the leg with some sort of "edged weapon."
The victim was taken to St. Cloud Hospital and was expected to be released shortly, police said.
Police said the suspect was taken to Park Place for a mental evaluation.
