15-year-old killed, 2nd teen injured in Orange County shootout

Teens fired at each other in neighborhood, deputies say

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - A 15-year-old was killed and another teen was injured during a shootout late Wednesday night in an Orange County neighborhood, deputies said.

The Orange County Sheriff's Office said deputies received multiple 911 calls about victims at two different homes in the same community off Chickasaw Trail.

A 17-year-old boy was found at a home on Hummingbird Lane, deputies said. A 15-year-old boy was then found at a nearby home on Puffin Drive, according to authorities.

Deputies said the two teens knew each other and exchanged gunfire after getting into an altercation.  

The younger teen was taken to Florida Hospital East, where he was pronounced dead, deputies said. He has been identified as Anthony Jamie Santiago.

Joshua Zapata, 17, was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center. He is in stable condition.

Deputies said no other suspects are at large.
