The couple says 2013 was an especially hard year for them as Woods lost his job at Walmart and they were involved in a car accident. They said they hope baby Nickali brings good luck in 2014.

Also born at 12:10 a.m. was Malaki Pena at Winnie Palmer Hospital.

The first baby of Brevard County was born at Holmes Regional Medical Center at 1:25 a.m. Viera residents Rachel and Damian Starr welcomed Nathan Starr at 10 pounds, 12 ounces and 22 inches long.
