2 arrested in Kissimmee fight video posted on Facebook

Juveniles charged with disorderly conduct, police say

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Police have arrested two students for their involvement in the fight near Kissimmee Middle School that was caught on video and posted to Facebook last week.

Kissimmee police arrested a 14-year-old male student from Kissimmee Middle School before the start of school on Tuesday. A 16-year-old male student from New Beginnings Education Center was also arrested Thursday.

They have both been take to Orange County Juvenile Detention Center on disorderly conduct charges.

The video, apparently posted to Facebook by one of the students, shows two boys fighting while several others cheer them on.  After they finish fighting, two other students enter the circle of people and begin fighting.

"It was important for the Kissimmee Police Department to make a very visible and public and arrest in this case," said Chief Lee Massie, "We needed to make a point to the other students witnessing the arrest that participation in that type of behavior comes with serious consequences."

Two other students may also be charged in the fight, according to police.
