2 Sanford women say dresses stolen from closets

Police investigate separate thefts at apartment complex

SANFORD, Fla. - Dresses were stolen from the closets of two women in separate incidents at a Sanford apartment complex, according to police.

The women, who live in apartments on East 1st Street in Sanford, reported the thefts on Tuesday.

According to Sanford police, one woman said her two-piece, size 14 dress, valued at $100, was taken from her closet sometime in early 2013. 

The other woman said her three-piece, size 8 dress, valued at $150, was stolen from her closet in March.

Both women said their apartments were locked when the dresses were stolen, police said.

No other details were released.
