Central Floridians brace for cold blast

Cold front to bring rain, major cooldown

ORLANDO, Fla. – Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges is tracking a new cold front that moves in late Friday, and ahead of the front, rain could impact the afternoon commute in the Orlando area.

The rain will last through the early evening, with a few thunderstorms and heavy downpours possible.

There will be a few lingering showers for Saturday morning before giving way to cooler, drier air.

High temperatures on Friday will reach the upper 70s.

Temperatures will warm to 70 on Saturday and drop into the upper 30s overnight.

Sunday afternoon, high temperatures will only reach the upper 50s.
