Some strong storms for Friday afternoon

New front brings storms and cold air

ORLANDO, Fla. – A new front moving through Central Florida will bring a blast of cold air this weekend.

That same front will fire up a few storms as an area of low pressure moves in Friday afternoon.

Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges says a couple of isolated storms could be strong, with wind gusts and lightning.

The timeline for the storms will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

The main concern will be wet roads into the evening as Central Floridians head out on Friday night.
