Volusia could tweak dress code policy

School board wants to hear from residents

DeLAND, Fla. – A new student dress code in Volusia County could be tweaked, but the school board says they want to hear from residents first.

Board members plan to hold a meeting Tuesday to discuss some changes, the Daytona Beach News-Journal reports.

The student dress code took effect in Volusia public schools in August.

The board will take suggestions from parents at Tuesday's meeting.

The meeting is at 4 p.m. in the School Administrative Complex on Clara Avenue in DeLand.
