KENNEDY SPACE CENTER – NASA and SpaceX will choose 50 social media followers to attend a two-day event that includes the launch of the Falcon 9 rocket.
The two-day "NASA Social" event will be held on April 29 and April 30. The launch is scheduled for 12:22 p.m. on April 30 at the Kennedy Space Center.
If the launch is successful, SpaceX will become the first commercial company to send a spacecraft to the International Space Station.

Registration for the "NASA Social" event will open at noon on Thursday and close at noon on Friday. NASA (@NASA) and SpaceX (@SpaceX) will choose a total of 50 followers from their Facebook, Twitter and Google+ accounts on Friday.
The followers who are invited will have unique in-person experiences with NASA and SpaceX workers. Guests are then asked to share those experiences on their social media accounts. Guests will also:
- Tour the Kennedy Space Center
- Visit the SpaceX launch pad
- Meet members of the social media teams for SpaceX and NASA
- Watch the Falcon 9 rocket launch live
