FDLE: Fraud detective leaked information to investigation target

Jordan Cox, 26, charged with third-degree felony

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Florida Department of Law Enforcement arrested a financial service insurance Fraud detective they say leaked confidential information to a target of a criminal investigation.

Jordan Schyler Cox, 26, of Sanford, was arrested and charged with one count of disclosure of confidential criminal justice information, a third-degree felony.

On March 28, FDLE received information from Division of Insurance Fraud saying that Cox had leaked confidential criminal investigative information to the target of the criminal investigation.

FDLE agents found Cox had sent a letter to the target of the investigation, letting the target know confidential case information.
This case will be prosecuted by the Office of the State Attorney, 9th Judicial Circuit. Cox's total bond amount is set at $2,000.
