Gov. Scott visits Longwood on Thursday
Governor will sign tax cuts legislation
LONGWOOD, Fla. – Governor Rick Scott will visit a Longwood company on Thursday morning to sign a new bill that calls for tax cuts.
Gov. Scott will speak at Metal Essence on Waterway Place -- just north of Ronald Reagan Boulevard. The governor is expected to be there from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
The tax cut legislation includes the return of the back-to-school sales tax holiday. The three-day event will be from August 3 to August 5. Parents and teachers can save on school supplies and clothes.
Governor Scott will then travel to Clearwater to sign two other bills -- one to regulate regional workforce groups and another to fix the state's unemployment system.
