Former DT Warren Sapp files for bankruptcy

Current NFL Network analyst files for Chapter 7

Former NFL defensive tackle and current NFL Network analyst Warren Sapp is broke and has no idea where his Super Bowl and NCAA national championship rings reside, TMZ.com reported on Friday.

Sapp filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in Florida and owes more than $6.7 million -- including nearly $1 million to the IRS, the website reported.

The 12-year NFL veteran and former University of Miami standout earns $540,000 per year from NFL Network.

As for the loss of his Super Bowl XXXVII ring, Sapp didn't seem to miss it too much.

"That ring didn't make me a champion, my team and I did," the former Tampa Bay Buccaneers star said.
