Windshield wiper problems lead to major Ford recall

Automaker says its recalling 140,000 cars

ORLANDO, Fla. – Ford is recalling more than 140,000 cars because their windshield wipers could be a big safety risk.

The automaker says, a problem with a plug in the 2012 Ford Focus could allow water to get inside the motor of the windshield wipers, causing them to break.

That means they may not work correctly, and could even stop working altogether.

Ford says that no accidents have been reported because of this problem.

You'll get a letter in the mail over the next few weeks if your car is affected.
