ORLANDO, Fla. – A 21-year-old Orlando woman was run over and killed Monday morning while trying to cross a road, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Joanne Fabre was struck about 7:35 a.m. while walking across Silver Star Road near Hiawassee Road.

According to the FHP, the woman walked into the direct path of an Isuzu pickup truck driven by Pablo Alvarado Paloma, 25, of Winter Park.
The driver had the right of way, troopers said.
An investigation is ongoing.
