EDGEWATER, Fla. – Police arrested an Edgewater mother after they say she smacked her 28-year-old son in the back of the head with a loaded pistol.
Edgewater police said they arrested Dawn Austin, 52, on Friday after her son reported he was hit with a .45-caliber pistol, loaded with 10 bullets and one round in its chamber.

The son videotaped the attack with his cellphone, which occurred during an argument police said.
Austin is charged with aggravated domestic battery and was being held at the Volusia County jail on $25,000 bail.
