MELBOURNE, Fla. – Authorities have identified the man who was found shot to death Thursday morning near a Melbourne school.
Police said the victim is Henry Montgomery, 48, of Melbourne. Police said they are awaiting a search warrant so they can go into the home and continue their investigation.

Just after 5 a.m., Melbourne police received a call about a disturbance and gunshots in the 2800 block of Colbert Circle, just north of Stone Middle School.
Officers arrived at the scene and found the body Montgomery, police said.
Investigators were at the scene talking to witnesses. No arrests have been made.
"There's no need for the public to be concerned for their safety," said Trevor Schaffer of the Melbourne Police Department.
