Top Olympic athletes visit Central Fla. on Wednesday

Gatlin, Gay among athletes visiting training center

CLERMONT, Fla. – More than 25 hopeful Olympic athletes from across the world will visit a training facility in Central Florida on Wednesday.

The track and field athletes will train at the National Training Center Track & Field at South Lake Hospital in Clermont.

Three-time Olympic medalist Justin Gatlin, American sprinter Tyson Gay and 2008 Olympic Tri-athlete Jarrod Shoemaker are among the Olympic hopefuls scheduled to be at the training center.  The athletes will interact with kids and adults in the community.  They will also take part in kid-friendly track & field activities.

The National Training Center Track & Field is located on Don Wickham Drive.  Athletes are expected to be there beginning at 11:15 a.m.
