Police: Robber pepper-sprays Target employee
5 sought in $1,500 robbery, police say
ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police are searching on Monday for four women and one man they say pepper-sprayed a Target employee while stealing $1,500 worth of merchandise over the weekend.
Police said hazardous materials crews were called to the Target on Maguire Boulevard at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday after one of the five robbers sprayed an employee with chemical spray, causing a store evacuation.
Police said the woman who used the spray appeared to be pregnant and was spotted leaving the store with a large amount of baby clothing.
No injuries were reported, but several people were treated for residual spray, police said. It's not clear what exactly was stolen.
