Kissimmee double-murder suspect arrested

Kevin Satterfield apprehended at hotel in Louisiana

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – A Kissimmee man wanted in the deaths of his wife and another man -- and the shooting of his eight-months pregnant daughter -- has been arrested in Louisiana.

Kevin Satterfield, 55, was arrested on two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted murder in the shootings, which occurred around 12:45 a.m. Tuesday at a home on Coral Reef Circle in Kissimmee.

Satterfield was located in a Super 8 hotel in Opelousas, La., authorities said.  He was booked into the St. Landry Parish Jail after he was apprehended in a joint operation involving U.S. marshals and several law enforcement agencies.

"Apparently he drove all day and arrived in the early afternoon hours," said Opelousas Police Chief Perry Gallow. "U.S. marshals were tracking this individual and received information identifying him at this location."

Vicki Satterfield, 53, Kevin Satterfield's wife, and Christian Martinez, 27, who was living at the home, were shot and killed, deputies said.

Satterfield's 27-year-old daughter, who was eight-months pregnant, was shot and airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center.  She later gave birth to her baby, and both are expected to survive.

Deputies said it's believed that the incident started as a domestic dispute, but the specific motive for the shootings is not known.

Another woman, a child and an infant were also in the home but were not injured, deputies said.
