Extra security planned at Flagler Palm Coast High School

Threats stem from Sunday shooting

PALM COAST, Fla. – Extra deputies will be patrolling one Flagler County high school Friday after threats surfaced stemming from a shooting on Sunday.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office announced more deputies would be in the area of Flagler Palm Coast High School.

The extra patrols are scheduled throughout the county and will go on for some time.

On Sunday, deputies responded to reports of shots fired at Ralph Carter Park on Rymfire Drive.

No one was injured in the shooting.

Johnnie Thomas Jr., 18, of Bunnell, was arrested.
