Deputies seek Orange County cross-dressing bank robber

Same bank, different branches robbed minutes away

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orange County deputies continue to search for a man they say robbed two Fifth Third banks minutes away -- while dressed as a woman.

Deputies said the first robbery was reported at the Fifth Third Bank on 11501 Curry Road at 4 p.m. Thursday.  The second robbery was reported at 4:22 p.m. at the Fifth-Third Bank on 10401 Curry Ford Road.

Deputies said the culprit is possibly the same suspect in both robberies, and, according to surveillance video, appears to be a man dressed up as a woman.

The man showed a note to tellers saying he had a gun, according to deputies.

There is no detailed description of the robber, but deputies released an image from one of the robberies, showing the man wearing a wig and makeup.
