ORLANDO, Fla. – A woman and her two children were able to escape an Orange County house fire that was sparked by lightning.
The blaze broke out around 9 p.m. Sunday at a home on Tuten Trail in Orlando.
The family was not injured in the fire, which damaged the attic of the home.
Strong storms ripped across Central Florida on Sunday night, bringing heavy downpours and dangerous lightning.
Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges says Monday will be hot, with real-feel temperatures approaching 100 degrees. There's a 30-percent chance of rain Monday afternoon into the evening.
High tempertaures will be near 92 degrees all week long, with lows in the low-70s.
