Man transporting cocaine from Puerto Rico to US, police say

ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police arrested a man from Puerto Rico they say flew into the Orlando International Airport with drugs stuffed in his pants.

Jaime Ortiz, 23, has been charged with trafficking in cocaine less than 400 grams after Drug Enforcement Agency investigators searched him as he got off of his JetBlue flight 768 from Puerto Rico, according to the police report.

Police said they found drugs in Ortiz's groin area taped to his underwear and arrested him. When asked what he had in his pants, Ortiz replied, "Three packages," according to the report.

The packages contained 536 grams of cocaine, which Ortiz said he was being paid $1,000 to bring to Orlando.

Ortiz is being held on $500,000 bond.
