Tropical Storm Debby delays ULA rocket launch

Launch rescheduled for Friday, officials say

CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. – Tropical Storm Debby has delayed the launch of a Delta IV rocket carrying a national security payload for at least 24 hours.

The launch for the National Reconnaissance Office, NRO-15, is delayed 24 hours and planned for Friday at 6:13 a.m. from Space Launch Complex-37 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, according to United Launch Alliance officials.

The protective Mobile Service Tower will remain around the launch vehicle and is scheduled to be moved for launch Thursday evening.
