Retailers Old Navy, OfficeMax join forces to offer discounts

New strategy for a tough economy

ORLANDO, Fla. – It may not be one-stop shopping, but the cross-promotional campaign between OfficeMax and Old Navy is offering big savings when you shop at both stores.

From August 2 through August 15, OfficeMax back-to-school customers will receive a register receipt coupon for $10 off a $50 purchase at Old Navy stores nationwide. The coupon can be redeemed at Old Navy stores August 2 through August 22.

"We're continuously seeking ways to support our customers and provide additional value," said Michael Lewis, OfficeMax executive vice president, president of retail. "Through this collaboration, OfficeMax and Old Navy are helping consumers buy more for less this back-to-school season. Trendy supplies and fashionable apparel at great savings – it's a shopping trip both parents and students will enjoy."

The other part of the deal comes from Old Navy. Shoppers loading up on back-to-school clothes and accessories at Old Navy will receive a coupon at checkout good for $10 off a $40 purchase at OfficeMax stores nationwide or online at officemax.com through Sept. 30.

"We love outfitting our customers for back-to-school," said Michelle DeMartini, senior vice president, Old Navy Adult Merchandising and Brand Licensing. "With OfficeMax's help, Old Navy families can top off their attire with school supply 'accessories' at value prices. We want our shoppers to feel fully prepared for the new school year."

Old Navy is running an extra one-day only promotion on Sunday. The first 70,000 customers will get a back-to-school gift and additional OfficeMax saving coupons with a $50 minimum in-store purchase.
