Viewers can download the free app via iPhones and Androids.

The app will allow users to track hurricanes and tropical storms, get instant updates whenever there is a change in a storm's path or strength and use interactive maps, forecasts, radar, satellite, shelters and information to prepare for hurricane season.
The Hurricane Tracker app will also provide video updates from Tom Sorrells and the Local 6 weather team.
