More rain expected in Central Florida

Orlando area continues to get soaked

ORLANDO, Fla. – Rain will continue to fall on Central Florida over the next two days, but the weekend forecast calls for a better outlook.

Similar to the previous few days, there will be a 60 percent coverage area of rain in the Orlando area on Thursday and Friday as a cold front remains over the region.

"The drive home from work won't be fun for some folks as heavy rain adds up quickly on area roads," Bridges said.

Lightning will also be a potential threat, Bridges added.

"A few storms will linger into Thursday night, so be prepared if you're making plans to go out," Bridges said.

The high temperature on Thursday will reach 90 degrees, with an overnight low in the low 70s.
