Polk man knocked unconscious by home invaders


Polk County Sheriff's Office Homicide detectives are asking for the public's help in locating a Wanted Suspect.

Deputies said at approximately 12:20 am Saturday, two black male subjects knocked on the door of a residence located within a mobile home park at 4230 Highway 60, Mulberry.

Deputies said a man answered the door and was knocked unconscious.

The suspects then entered the home and attacked two additional residents, deputies said

Deputies said one victim was a 70-year-old man who suffered serious injuries. The elderly victim was transported to Lakeland Regional Medical Center in critical condition.

The suspects forcibly took property and money from the victims and fled the scene, deputies said.

Through the investigation deputies identified 31-year-old Walter Morrisoon, of Lakeland, as one of the suspects, deputies said.

Morrison is currently wanted for attempted first degree felony murder, armed robbery, home invasion and armed burglary, deputies said.
