Frozen beer to be served at Disney's Japan Pavilion

Rare drink served nowhere else in continental U.S.

ORLANDO, Fla. – Disney has announced that frozen beer will be served at three restaurants in Epcot's Japan Pavilion.

The beverage consists of beer with a frozen, ice cream-like topping that is made from beer. According to a Disney blog, frozen beer is served in Honolulu, but it cannot be found anywhere else in America.

"The guests were apprehensive, but very curious," says Bob Miller, dining operations manager of Mitsukoshi USA in Epcot. "But once they try it, they often come back for another and bring their friends – it definitely makes the beer colder and keeps it colder longer, which is a good thing in the Florida sunshine."

Cost of the drink is $8, according to the blog post.
