New study: exercise can benefit your mind

May improve memory and cut risk of dementia


ORLANDO, Fla. – New research shows that exercise is good for your brain.

According to a new study published in the journal, 'Stroke', people who exercise regularly cut their risk of cognitive impairment by 60 percent.

Researchers say exercise also lowers your risk of one type of dementia by 40 percent.

The American Heart Association recommends at least an hour and half of moderate exercise each week for good health.
