Man stole cellphones from 2 women, police say

BALDWIN PARK, Fla. – Orlando police are searching for a man who they say stole cellphones from two women in Baldwin Park in the last two weeks.

Police said the man approached the first victim while she was walking on the bike path near Almond Avenue and Lake Baldwin Lane and demanded her cellphone on October 27 at 10:15 p.m.

According to police, the man ran up behind the second victim and snatched her cellphone while she was walking on the sidewalk on Lake Baldwin Lane on Thursday at 9:50 p.m. 

Neither of the victims were injured in the incidents.

The man is described as being a Hispanic male, 5 feet 10 inches tall and approximately 180 pounds. He is believed to be between the ages of 25 to 35 years old and was last seen wearing all dark clothing. 

Police said he was seen leaving both scenes on a black bicycle. He wasn't spotted with a weapon, but threatened to stab one of the victims if she didn't comply, according to police.
