Police: Naked man found dead on roof

Daytona Beach police say victim

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Police are investigating the death of a man whose nude body was found Friday on the roof of the Peabody Auditorium in Daytona Beach.

The body of Dylan Thomas Tharp, 29, who died from multiple force trauma to the body, was found by a maintenance worker, who notified officers about a possible burglary.

The maintenance worker told police there was a previous burglary about four weeks earlier in which the culprits had broken into the auditorium through the roof.

On Friday, the worker said he noticed debris on the stage and checked the roof, discovering the nude body of Tharp, who was wearing only socks, police said.

Officers say it appears the body had been there overnight.

The death has been ruled a homicide, but there are no suspects in the case.
