Warm temperatures to linger in Central Florida

Rain not expected until Wednesday in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. – A front moved through Central Florida on Thursday bringing some rain, but the weekend is shaping up nicely.

"Drying northwest winds will bring sunny skies and warm temperatures for Friday and into the weekend," Local 6 meteorologist Troy Bridges said.

The high temperature in Orlando on Friday will reach 79 degrees.  The overnight low will be in the mid-50s.

High temperatures will hover in the mid- to upper 70s on Saturday and Sunday.

Next week, temperatures will warm into the 80s.

Slight rain chances returns for Wednesday and Valentine's Day.
