911 calls released in deputy-involved crash; Girl injured

Authorities say Seminole County deputy hit 12-year-old in Deltona

DELTONA, Fla. – Authorities have released the 911 calls on Wednesday from a crash last week involving a Seminole County deputy that hurt a young girl.

Deputy Cornelius Blue hit a 12-year-old girl in the crosswalk at the intersection of Fort Smith and Katherwood Court in Deltona, according to authorities. He then stopped to help her out and report the incident.

"There's a little girl holding her stomach like with pains on the side of the road and a man has stopped and she like fell to the ground," the 911 caller told dispatchers.

Blue has been ticketed for the crash. The girl has arm and leg injuries, but is expected to be OK.
